The Social Event will be on February 6th, consisting in a City Tour in São Paulo followed by dinner at a local restaurant. The tour will depart from the “University of São Paulo”.

Experience the best of the cosmopolitan, cultural, gastronomic and historical São Paulo, the city that never sleeps.

With this social event, you will have the opportunity to see some of the São Paulo following attractions.

Museum of Art of São Paulo

With one of the finest art collections in Brazil, this museum displays a substantial collection of both European and Brazilian art from the old masters to modern. Visitors can see works by Rembrandt, Rubens, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec, and Raphael among the amazing exhibitions of art.

Ibirapuera Park

Brazilian architect, Oscar Niemeyer, and landscape artist, Burle Marx, designed one of the largest parks in São Paulo. Some of the many delightful features included in this wonderful park are four lakes, a plant nursery, a Japanese pavilion, a Planetarium, a Folklore Museum and art museums including the oldest museum of modern art in the country.

Municipal Market

An enormous diversity of aromas, flavours, sights, sounds, and stories define what locals call the Mercadão, the city market. If you try only one or two comestibles, consider the enormous mortadella sandwich and pastel de bacalhau (fried cod pastry), both of which are famous around the country.

Municipal Theater

The Municipal Theatre was established in 1911 and has had performances by famous national and international artists such as Enrico Caruso, Maria Callas, Anna Pavlowa and Baryshnikov. With its luxurious decoration and modern equipment the Municipal Theatre remains one of the highlights of the cultural life of São Paulo.

Old São Paulo (Downtown)

A walking tour that takes visitors around the famous cultural and historical city centre. You will see the beautiful Municipal Theatre, which has been the home to many famous operas, concerts and ballets. The tour leads to other significant historical sites, as it travels through Anhangabaú Valley and the Patio do Colegio where São Paulo was founded.

Oscar Freire Street

Boutiques, stylish shops, hotels and nice restaurants. The best spot to shop branded items.

Liberdade

The Japanese immigration to Brazil began in the early twentieth century. Currently, Brazil is home to the largest Japanese population outside of Japan and most of them are in Liberdade neighbourhood. On Saturday s and Sundays, happens a traditional fair which offers typical food and souvenir shops.

The tour will end with a dinner at a local  Restaurant.
